My name is Megan and I'm a Master's student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I'm currently attempting to use precision design and a little creativity to tackle the world's energy and climate crises in one fell swoop. More specifically, I'm designing a small-scale thermochemical treatment unit that will convert agricultural waste to solid biofuels. The unit is tailored to the types of crop waste produced in rural India and is designed to be robust and inexpensive to produce. In the future, I hope that similar concepts can be applied to address waste problems that we face here in North America.
My story in a nutshell - I LOVE the great outdoors, and am passionate about doing what I can to preserve it for future generations to enjoy.
